Mackenzie Art Gallery Pleads Guilty After Worker Injured

The Mackenzie Art Gallery in Regina recently pleaded guilty in provincial court to one violation under the Occupational Health and Safety Regulations.

The charge stemmed from a workplace incident that occurred January 20, 2020. A worker was injured while using a table saw.

The charge was in regards to an employer or contractor failing to provide effective safeguard where a worker may contact a dangerous moving part of a machine.

Combined fine and surcharge that must be paid by Mackenzie Art Gallery totals $19,600.
