By Carol Thomson Jan 5, 2022 | 3:15 PM

Over the past few weeks with the colder temperatures, the Saskatoon Police Service says vehicles idling with the keys still inside is once again on the rise.

In a news release, Saskatoon Police recommend ensuring your keys aren’t with the vehicle and the doors are locked.

They suggest that if you can, purchase a remote starter which will run your vehicle without keys, and if that’s not possible, don’t leave your vehicle unattended while warming it up.

To report suspicious activity or a stolen vehicle, call the Saskatoon Police Service non-emergency line at 306-975-8300, or 911 in the case of an emergency.
