The Queen’s Platinum Jubilee Flag will be raised at the Saskatchewan Legislature Building and Government House in Regina today (sun). The flag will be flown for the rest of the month at Government House and the flags will be flown on the Albert Memorial Bridge in Regina from the 15th to the 28th. Queen Elizabeth the second became Queen on February 6th, 1952, when her father King George the sixth passed away. Her Majesty is Canada’s longest reigning Sovereign and is the first to celebrate a platinum jubilee.
The Queen’s Platinum Jubilee flag features the Canadian Jubilee emblem on a white background. The Canadian Platinum Jubilee emblem will be released by the Government of Canada today (sun).
