Heavy Police Presence At Confederation and Laurier Drive

There was a heavy police presence near Confederation Mall late Saturday afternoon. Police say they were called to the area shortly after 4 o’clock as they were actively looking for a suspect believed to have a firearm. Several streets were blocked off for sometime as police investigated. By 6:30, all traffic restrictions were lifted. Some police cruisers could still be seen patrolling the Confederation Park area. No further details have been provided by police at this time.
