Cirque du Soleil’s insect themed show OVO is coming to Saskatoon this summer. The high flying acrobats will take to the stage at Sasktel Centre from July 27 – 31, 2022 putting on 7 performances.

OVO stands for “egg” in Portuguese. The egg is a symbol of the life cycle for insects and is the underlying theme of the show. Cirque du Soleil describes the show as, “a non-stop riot of energy and movement.” The performance will be colorful and bright with the extravagant costumes and set design.

The arena tour has fabricated a completely new acrobatic structure that stands 45 feet above the ground and weighs 22,000 pounds. The show will also feature a 30 foot mechanical flower and an egg the stands at 22 feet.

Tickets are now available to Cirque Club members, while the general tickets will go on sale Tuesday May 24.
