The five-time defending Canadian Bowl champion Saskatoon Hilltops will have to go another week without Colton Holmes.
The potential All-Canadian defensive back will miss a fifth straight game when the Toppers take on the Beefeaters in London, Ontario, Saturday night in the C-J-F-L semi final. Holmes suffered a lower body injury September 29th in Edmonton.
But, it appears veteran offensive lineman Taylon Elderkin is ready to return. He got scuffed up during last Sunday’s P-F-C final victory over the Edmonton Huskies.
The Hilltops leave Saskatoon early Friday morning for Saturday’s showdown. It’s a 6 p.m. local start time with the broadcast on 92.9 THE BULL signing on at 5:30.
