An early morning vehicle check by La Ronge RCMP on Sunday, November 6th resulted in multiple charges against a man and a woman.
Officers stopped to check a vehicle that was blocking Highway #2 around 6:20am. Open liquor was observed and the two people were arrested. A further investigation led to the seizure of 13 grams of cocaine, 8 grams of psilocybin, 81 grams of dried cannabis, three firearms, ammunition and some cash.
Charged are 26-year-old Nora Charles of Sucker River and 36-year-old Stephen McKenzie of the Lac La Ronge Indian Band.
The two will appear in La Ronge Provincial Court on separate dates later this month.
