Two boys, 15 and 17 years old, are facing firearms-related offences in connection to the Saskatoon Police investigation of an incident Friday night at an elementary school in Dundonald. The Guns and Gangs Unit responded around 9:30 that night to Ecole St. Peter’s School in the 200 block of Sumner Crescent.

Police were alerted that a group of people had been shot at near the school. Officers report that two boys were found walking through a park, and one was holding a shotgun. A sawed-off shotgun, ammunition and an airsoft gun were located at the scene and seized by police. From the investigation, officers believe that two separate groups had agreed on a prearranged altercation, and when they met, there was a foot chase, and a gun was shot but no one was injured. The person believed to be responsible for shooting the gun was also reported to have threatened someone with a gun.
