A 15-year-old male youth is charged with second degree murder and attempted robbery following an incident in Stanley Mission—about an hour northeast of La Ronge— very early Sunday morning.
RCMP received a report of a seriously injured man at the local community hall around 2:45am. The 23-year-old man was transported to hospital where he later died. The victim has been identified as Walter Ray Wilson Roberts of Stanley Mission.
The 15-year-old was arrested on Tuesday. He has been remanded in custody and will make his first court appearance in La Ronge youth court on Thursday morning.
