A man who was assaulted and seriously injured on January 2nd at a home on Big Island Lake Cree Territory has died in hospital. The Saskatchewan RCMP says this investigation is now deemed a homicide.
Late in the evening on January 2nd, Pierceland RCMP were told of an assault on Big Island Cree Nation. A man was taken to hospital with serious injuries and a 35-year-old woman was arrested. Doreen Oseemeemow appeared in court on Tuesday and has been charged with 2nd degree murder.
