The Saskatoon Police Service is asking for the public’s help in identifying and locating a person of interest in an assault investigation.

Last month, on February 9 police were called to City Hospital after receiving a report of an injured person. Upon arrival, officers located the 35-year-old woman suffering from a knife wound to her face.
Their investigation found that the assault occurred in the 200 block of 3rd Avenue South at around 1:30 p.m. following an altercation with a man unknown to the victim.

Investigators with the Serious Assault Unit have identified a man who is a person of interest. They say he was seen at the time wearing a black hat, dark coloured flannel jacket, and jeans.

Anyone with information regarding the identity and/or whereabouts of the person of interest or with information otherwise believed to be relevant is asked to contact the Saskatoon Police Service at 306-975-8300 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
