Specially made trike that helped a Regina man deal with his disability, stolen last year and returned on the weekend

Austin Cherkas’ trike was stolen last year. Austin, who has autism and ADHD, received a trike to help with his mobility.

In a post by Regina Police Service on X, formerly Twitter, Austin was brought to tears when he was presented with the fully restored bike.

In August 2023, it was locked outside a Regina Walmart and thieves cut the lock then made off with the bike.

Regina Police had tracked it down, but they say it had been spray bombed and trashed. Dutch Cycle surprised Austin with the bike this past weekend.
