Summer COVID-19 update

By Neil Billinger Jul 19, 2024 | 6:17 PM

Two COVID related deaths were reported in Saskatchewan during the four-week period between June 16th and July 13th.

Over the same time frame, there were 138 COVID tests with 11.5 percent producing a positive result. Both of those numbers were lower than the previous four-week period when there was a positivity rate of 15.1 percent on 171 COVID tests.

The health ministry also reports a single human case of swine-origin influenza last week. It appears the H3N2 virus was not transmitted between humans. The person was not hospitalized and has fully recovered. The public health investigation is complete.
