A 26 year old man is facing an Attempted Murder charge in Regina after an assault on Saturday afternoon. Regina Police say they were dispatched to a residence for a report of a weapons offense. When they got there, they found a man with serious injuries. He was taken to hospital. Witnesses said he had been stabbed. A suspect was located nearby. Police say he gave them a false name but officers were able to confirm his identity and he was arrested. 29 year old Vernon Joseph Pelletier has been charged.
