Charges laid after weapons call to a Saskatoon motel

The Saskatoon Police Service says a man is facing weapons charges after officers were called to the lobby of a motel on Tuesday afternoon.

The call came in around 3:00 p.m. from the 1400 block of 22nd Street West. Police say he was in possession of a homemade CEW (Conducted Energy Weapon) and bear spray. And when he was delivered to Detention at police headquarters, the SPS says he was found to be in possession of methamphetamine.

A 41-year-old man is facing two counts of Possession of a Dangerous Weapon, two counts Carry Concealed Weapon, two counts Prohibited Possession of Weapon, and Possession of Methamphetamine.
