Humboldt to get new group home for adults with intellectual disabilities

Five adults with intellectual disabilities will have a new place to call home in Humboldt, thanks to a partnership between the provincial government and Futuristic Industries Inc.

According to a news release, the province is providing $1.6 million in capital funding and $360,000 in annual operational funding towards the project. Meanwhile, a long-standing community-based organization, Futuristic Industries will provide 24/7 staffing and personalized care for residents in the home.
