When firefighters rolled up on a house fire in the 200 block of Avenue D South early this morning, they could see flames coming from the back of a home under construction.
The call came in at 4:36 a.m. and crews determined the structure wasn’t safe to enter so they attacked the blaze from the exterior.
The remaining structure will be demolished. A fire investigator is determining the cause, origin and damage estimate.
